Flowers of the Week: Couch Potato

I made a bunch of flower arrangements this week that I planned to scatter all through out the house, but then I got sick and my flowers have remained on my coffee table right in front of my couch. Which isn't all bad, because since I have been sick I have spent most of my time on the couch. Ever since I was child my Mom always set me up on the couch when I was sick and I still do that to this day. The husband like it because then he can keep the bedroom, that bathroom and his dude room a germ-free zones. Does anyone else do this? At least I can enjoy my flowers hidden behind my mounds of Kleenex, Vitamin Water bottles, Nyquil and my netti pot.
My View:

I was trying to show how you don't have to spend a lot to make pretty arrangement.
This is lavender from the backyard with carnations.
Iris's and Daises in a bright vase.
Backyard roses
Unfortunately not from my backyard. I not good to my roses. And a lone Gerbera in an old bottle.
Yay for:
Things I can smile about even while feeling sick .
Wendy for playing Words With Friends with me when that is all I can muster up and do when I am lying on the couch.
Oh great, now the husband feels sick...

  1. Gorgeous flowers!!

And my mom totally used to set me up on the couch when I was sick too. Vicks? Check. Strawberry Shortcake food tray? Check. Blanket? Check. Made being home sick a bit more bearable!

  3. I don't know how many people do this, but here's a small but genius idea: Whenever I'm sick, I keep an empty Kleenex box next to me, and I put my gross used Kleenex wads in it for storage. Nice and tidy, and keeps the germs contaminated!

  4. Beautiful! I love the backyard roses. Off topic, don't you love the netti pot? It has SAVED me this allergy season.

  8. The couch is my go-to for when I'm sick too. Hubby is pretty much immune to everything, so he wouldn't mind if I invaded other spaces. Hope you feel better.
