After some recommendations from fellow bloggers I picked up a bottle of OPI's Private Jet Plane. It's a fabulous color and I just adore it. It's like the party version of You Don't Know Jaques, and it's perfect for the holidays. Plus I love that it's dark but not black nail polish dark. And it has sparkles in it, I am kind of loving sparkles these days!

Loving Right Now: Seven {Month} Itch
Have I've mentioned my serious seven month fling before?
You know, with OPI's Little Red Wagon.
Well it was my one and only, until Jen introduced me to new flavor.
So I broke my streak and gave OPI Glitzrland a go around.
And I'm so happy I did, it's quite possibly the most perfect holiday color...ever!

Seriously, try her out!

How I shop: One for You, Two for Me
Yesterday I went shopping for Jen's birthday present. Unfortunatly I couldn't contain myself for just shopping for her, so I ended up picking up a few things for myself. Here is what I picked up for myself.

I stopped in H&M to see if any of the Garden Collection pieces were in, there was a lot but I didn't end up getting any. I did get a couple tops, a vest and a top that I thought looked similar to the Kristen top I was one the hunt for (which a reader did locate for me!)
Also an Etsy order arrived yesterday. I purchased some really cute vintage earrings from the Etsy store Petal and Pink. Thank you Erin!!
I hope to wear them soon!
Forever 21 Bow Earrings, Forever 21 Stud belt, O.P.I Done out in Deco.

Look of the Day: I am not Madonna
It is the week of the Rodarte Target dresses, or maybe the week of lace? Either way I can't seem to get enough of either of them this week. Today felt much more normal to me, how about you? I still relied on the coffee but not as much as yesterday. I even got to painting my nails! Huge improvement over yesterday when I didn't even care that I was posting my horrible chipped nail polish job on the internet, wow. Anyways I rocked the black and tan lace printed dress and I really loved it. Of course that wasnt enough lace so added more by fashioning a "vest" out my lace scarf and a belt.
Rocking the Rodarte for Target lace printed dress, lace scarf from Nordstrom (they only have it in cream now) and my Cynthia Vincent Luella Wedges.
And clearly I still need to work on typing on my iPhone, I LOVE it but I am still getting used the Keypad and auto-typing. I was writing about what I was making for dinner and came back to my phone to find this silly message that I "wrote"
That is true I am definitely not Madonna....

(kind of) Look of the Day: What to do While Waiting... Part Two
I had to take my car to the chop today and riding my bike home in the morning cold was definitely not the highlight of my day. Anyways after my ride home I was kind of over bike riding so I just ended up just posting it at the house all day and once again I spent my day waiting at the house.
After my bike ride I spent quite a bit of time looking up my Favorite Red Carpet looks of the Decade. Then I decided I needed to be productive and proceeded to put away my Christmas Pottery Barn Reindeer dishes and some other holiday decor.
But that quickly bored me, so I ended up getting sucked into my January Elle issue and messing around with my iPhone. Feeling much better about it today!

Lady Gaga and Britney sure are freaking awesome!

After that I got decided I REALLY needed to tackle my room. OH MY what a mess!
I un-decked my pink tree.
Taking down decorations and putting away presents is definitely not as fun as putting them up and opening them!
While organizing my room, I came across some nail polish and painted my nails OPI's You Don't know Jacques.
Painting you nails is a REALLY great reason not to clean for a bit.
Procrastination....I excel at that. My best all lacquered up attempt.
When the nails started to dry I tried to organize my jewelry drawer. I really need a more organized method, but heck, they are are just cheap baubles.
I wasn't able to make it Trader Joes today, so my Mom dropped off some Christmas leftovers for our dinner and I broke for a mid afternoon snack of Carrots and Dijon. Casey thinks that is a weird combo but I love it.
I never actually got dressed today! Shocking. Well good news is my Car is still kicking and doesn't need new breaks.
I can't help but feel very Jake Gyllenhaal when I wear this American Apparel Tee.

Look of the Day: Toy Soldier
Well it was nice to be able to leave my house today. My. Repair man isn't coming until Saturday now, so that means no cookies for Mr. Ups man (or butternut squash fries for me!). After reading your comments my Ups man seems even more amazing! He hooks us up, he always lets me know that "It's a shopbop package for you Amber!"And he hides our packages if we aren't home...I must hook him up. He even brought me totally awesome Christmas cards from 4Leafboutique today! I love coming home to packages. I also came home to a special little present under my girly Christmas tree from Sheila my Mother in law! I love pink packages tied up in bows! Thank you Sheila! =)
Anyways on to the outfit... Today I felt very Military-esque rocking my Kimichi Blue ruffle peacoat. Again, I purchased this Jennifer Love Hewitt Coy-Cat-Style jacket from Urban Outfitters last year on clearance for $39.99 I really love military inspired looks, nautical looks as well. And you know how I am about buying my coats on clearance, that is the ONLY way I buy coats.

And me rocking mine!
I did though attempt to get lookalikes like Chloe for you:
This Donna Karen one looks very similar but is way more then I paid for mine =(
And Try this Alloy one here, again more then I paid though.
This Alloy Military Blazer also has the same look without the ruffles.
Under the jacket I wore a ruffle tank from the White Dress shop, which of course is sold out, but a similar one is available. My cardigan is old school Abercrombie. Pretty much the only Abercrombie piece still in my closet. Oh Abercrombie...just wait for my Decade in Review fashion piece...
I also rocked JBrand Doll jeans, they are just like the Love Story's but have a high waist for leggy girls like me. And I completed my military look with OPI Russian Navy.
And my special treat waiting under my pink tree!!
Aww perfect to display Miss Pennie Lane in! THANK YOU Sheila! This made my day =)
I am now addressing Christmas Cards, while watching the SNL Holiday special
Thank you M & E over at 4leafboutique! My cards are awesome!
Britney was WRONG for leaving this Toy Solider...just saying! Love this skit.
Soup, Soup-a-doup! Sip, baby Sip!
This one always gets me as well.
And a special THANK YOU to all of our Military Men and Women. I will be thinking of any of the families who lost someone while serving our country and families who have someone over seas this Holiday Season.
