Things I love: SF Blog Friends

Last night I had the pleasure of attending Refinery 29's Fashion's Night celebration party and I had a blast - to say the least. The Refinery 29 team is pretty radical, just sayin. The food was amazing, the drinks were flowing and I met SO many amazing people. It was a good time.

I love going to blog events like last night's because they are fun, informative, and it's great way to network. But most of all I love seeing my friends. I used to call the group of women I see at events "blog friends" but lets be honest after months of seeing them on an (almost) weekly basis these ladies have become my friends.

While I was going through a rough part of my life I would look forward to seeing these ladies. None of them knew what I was going through, and it was nice and refreshing to start clean with them. The friendships I have developed with them are so special to me. I have learned something from all of them and they all inspire me (SO MUCH!). You know who you ladies are and I can't wait to see you all tonight!! xx

My fit.
My fave Free People sweater (similarhere & here).
My new Scout Twill Zip Crop pants c/o Jbrand(LOVE them!! I could wear them everyday if I could get away with it.)
Ash Lotus wedges (another fave)and some other regalia not worth mentioning.

Um yeah this fig toast was amazing and it was the only veggie friendly option. Katie(BKA MrsZambrano) and I discussed vegetarianism last night, it's something I've gone back and forth with over the years and am pretty passionate about.

Oh Samantha came out to play.
Last night my friend Tracy asked me if I have always been goofy.
Yes, Tracy, I've always been this way [insert klutzy drink spillage].

Look of the Day: Graceland

Every once in a while I put an outfit together and then later realize its influence. I put on this skirt yesterday because all of my dresses were boring me, and this skirt seemed fun and free enough for the hot weather. Once the rest of the outfit fell into place and I pranced around twirling my skirt, it was then that I realized the outfit reminded me of Audrey Hepburn as Princess Anne in Roman Holiday. Give or take a few inches on my hemline and some exposed shoulders, all I needed was a scarf tied around my neck and you might mistake me for a runaway princess. Alright getting ahead of myself there. I'm no Kate Middleton, that princess has class and style, but at times I can't help but pretend to mimic a Princess's grace at times.
"Alright, alright look. I don't have grace, I don't want grace. I don't even say grace."
Suzanne where you AT?

A bun is about as close to pixie cut as I'll get, Princess Anne was a rebel!

LF Stores Blouse and Urban Expressions bag {oh you know just that one that Refinery 29 liked enough to include in their bag stalking post} h&m hat (similar here), Seychelles sandals and Forever 21 skirt.

I love skirts that twirl!
The breeze yesterday almost had me mimicking Marilyn Monroe yesterday, yup told you I didn't have grace.

Happy Friday!!
It's my Mom's birthday so I'll be spending it with her.
Happy birthday Mom!! I love you!

Things I Love: A Great Deal

I have been having computer troubles lately (apparently uploading high quality pictures on the daily isn't all that great for a three year old computer with not the largest hard drive). Without uploading/downloading capabilities my computer has been rendered a shopping and blog reading machine, and I'm finding all sorts of cool stuff. If you're not already obsessed with Refinery 29, well you should be, and if you haven't noticed their new reserve shopping area (think Gilt but WAY more radical) you should DEFINITELY check it out. Their latest deal has me bouncing off the walls, and writing birthday shopping list like crazy! Right now you can get $300 worth of Rag & Bone items for $150. All I have to say is YES PLEASE. A 'sample sale site' where I can pick what I want shopping-spree-style? Sign me up...oh wait you don't even have to be a member. Still trying to figure out what I want to spend my $150 on...

Hopefully my date at the Genius Bar will solve my computer problems and I'll be back to posting my pictures soon. Have a fabulous Memorial Weekend and
BIG THANKS TO ALL THE MILITARY FOLKS OUT THERE!
