She's going to ask for a glass of champagne.
I am home and boy am I happy. I have a new appreciation and admiration for Nurses, Doctors, people with chronic illnesses and anyone who spends or has spent time in the hospital. I am lucky my stay was short, and I was still in such great shape when I was there. However, I did learn a lot when I was there and have a new perspective on hospitals and how I want to take care of my body. I always considered myself healthy but this infection was beyond me and it was kind of hard to just realize that. I still have to rest a lot but the Doctors also want me up and active to get my lungs back working regularly since I need to build my stamina back up for Europe. Getting the okay to rest AND be active was good news for me, and made me even more perky for my arrival home.Of course Casey had a surprise waiting for me. After tweeting the other night about how I was craving Champagne and chocolate chip cookies I arrived home to fresh baked (Pillsbury) chocolate chip cookies! Does it get any better? Well I did mention champagne, but I suppose I can wait on busting the Champagne coupes out. Casey has gone above and beyond to take care of me. As well as my Mom (who stocked my fridge for my arrival home), Dad, Step Mom Rena and my friends Mandy and Jen, all who have also done a fabulous job of making sure I was never without anyone or anything I needed. And all of your comments made my day, everyday. THANK YOU!
