Monday's Look: WOW How have I never watched this show before? It is amazing! I was bawling through the whole episode. The guys (I don't even know their names but they rock) helped deliver a baby and helped send a girl who survived Katrina visit her mom's grave for the first time. WOW! Deep stuff for MTV, these guys deserve all the attention that the Hills and the Jersey Shore crews get. To say the least I loved the message behind that show.
Now on to the outfit, the urban cardigan I wore today is definitely one of my favorite pieces to wear these days. For a piece with such a bold pattern I have found this piece to be surprisingly versatile. I tend to pair it with bright colors, like when I paired it with this skirt. I also wore it like this. Although the cardigan is sold out here are some alternative options: here, here and here (this one is the same cardigan as mine but in a different pattern). Today I paired the cardigan with a tunic blouse I got from Urban a while ago, similar styles here and here. I also rocked this bracelet, the same one I am giving away so a reader and I can match!
Putting the prize together.
And the outfit:

I love that show. I think the premise is awesome. It's surprisingly deep and philosophical for MTV. Glad you liked it.
ReplyDeleteThat cardigan looks so cozy...love it!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen that show, sounds intense. Glad MTV has some programming with a little heart behind it ;)
ReplyDeleteThat cardi looks amazing--perfectly comfy and cozy. Love the contrast with the cobalt blue--fab.
haha, you're cute. :) It's a new show, so you're not that out of it! I love it, too. but I still need to catch up on last nights episode! I looked in my store for that cardi because I love it and it was sold out in all sizes but the large, sad. Oh well, it looks adorable on ya! :)

ReplyDeleteANd I'm glad I am not the only one who likes that show, it was such a feel good show!
and umm Yay for my first male comment, although I can't tell if it i s spam or not lol.
I freaking love The Buried Life, and haven't made it through an entire episode yet without bawling. I thought I did during the one where they set the guy up to meet his son, but the last two seconds where they show him on the cell phone saying, "Hello son, it's me? Your father?" Oh god. I'm crying again just thinking about it. I am *such* a sap, and that show is full of awesomey sappy goodness.
ReplyDeleteWhat impresses me the most about the show is that it seems like they are genuine. Sure, they have MTV helping them out, but if you go visit their website they are all extremely capabale and talented- from photography to writing to web design to pieceing together videos, they have their hands on a lot of what gets put on air and on their blog, and that to me says *tons*. They aren't just a group of random guys MTV decided to start filming, and it is beyond refreshing. I hope enough people watch it so it gets picked up for more seasons!
