Look of The Day: I've Got to Do Something About the Way I Look!

I mean a girl just can't go to Sing Sing with a green face.
On Friday night Casey was out of town so I hosted an all girls Breakfast at Tiffany's party and it was a blast. Let's just say I took over 500 pictures of the night, quite the success considering it was a last minute get- together. But we still managed to pull out all the stops, including dressing up thematically for our party.
I always like to have a variety of things for people to grab and put on, to get them in the party mood. Our outfits were complete with cat eye sunglasses, over the top necklaces, cigarette holders, and little black dresses and heels à la Holly. I just love getting festive and I don't think dressing up ever gets old.
Dinner Party!
My Gma's fur coats provided the perfect aesthetic to our photo-shoots.
The bloggers, Annie and I, rocking our glam jackets and cat eye sunnies.
You know it's a good night when the heels have to come off.

Party Prep: Egg-static

Today I spent my day prepping for my Easter get together tomorrow.

Of course Martha was my inspiration!
I hope you weekend is fabulous whether or not you celebrate Easter! =)

Things I love: Easter Egg Hunting

My Mom and I take turns hosting holidays at our houses. I host the crafting holidays, like Halloween and Easter, because I love getting creative carving my pumpkin (my pumpkin party post here and here) and dying Easter eggs. I also REALLY love to hunt for Easter eggs, pretty much because I win (find the most eggs) every year. I was going to scan in some old pictures of Andi and I Easter egg hunting but I think these pictures clearly illustrate my love of hunt for Easter eggs...CLEARLY.

Johhny you better bring it! It's ON!

Look of the Day: Under the Influence

I often blog about people or things that influence my style. One other element that influences my style is traveling. This past summer, after I came back from Beijing, I found myself drawn towards red, royal blues and yellow. Beaded bracelets and (fake) jade jewelry also made their appearance in my outfit. At first glance of this outfit, you may think I was under the influence of alcohol when I picked it out, but in fact it was Vegas that was the influence. While I was there this past weekend I observed Cocktail waitresses, Elvis impersonators, little old lady gambling addicts and showgirls. All of their outfits had me dreaming of feathers, gold Lamé and faux fur. This vintage jumpsuit satisfied my craving for all things Vegas, even if Casey thinks I look like C3PO in it " He excels at that".

I felt ohh soo Ginger from Casino in this outfit.
Looking at all the old pictures of my Grandma may have also influenced this outfit.

Copy Cat Style perhaps?

Look of the Day: Emerald City

"St. Patrick's Day is an enchanted time -
A day to begin transforming winter's dreams into summer's magic.
"

.Adrienne Cook.
Last night Jen and I were laughing about how I, up until about a year ago, I thought that green beer was a special Irish brew that had a greenish tint! I was not aware, until seeing a picture on Facebook, that green beer is simply Bud Light (or whatever light beer) with green dye in it! WOW Blondemoment!
I hope you had a fabulous Wednesday whether or not you were rocking green, drinking green beer or eating corn beef and cabbage. Oh of course , I made made corn beef and for Casey! Anytime I can throw diner in crock pot and have it made when I get off work I am down for. Well really I am down for whatever...

Me, the blonde with a greenish tint.

St. Patricks Day 2010
Throwback:
St. Patrick's Day 2006

I was rocking a Rachel Pally top, forever 21 necklace (where is that thing?), True Religion jeans and some belt I bought after Jessica Simpson wore it.

Look of the (morning): I would not like them here or there.
