Look of the Day/Style Icon: Ode to Gwen Stefani

Hey Baby, visible bra straps are not something I fear. Although they are faux pas in some circumstances and some think they should be left Underneath it All. I dare to live a Simple Kind of Life and In My Head I have stopped worring about them hanging out.

I may not be an Orange County Girl but I blame my lack of hiding bra straps on my long time style icon. Excuse Me Mister, but I'm referring to the one and only Gwen Stefani.

Gwen Stefani has a Luxurious style but still keeps it SoCal cool. Her songs and outfit inspirations make me feel Hella Good. Her bright colored bra straps are something that she wore back when she was Just a Girl and still does now as a mother on Sunday Morning.

What you waiting for? Her to stop? I think not.

Now that You Got It, Don't Speak if you don't feel the same way. I know just what your thinking. Even if I was a Rich Girl I would still rock the bra strap look.

Different People
may disagree that Gwen started a Tragic Kingdom of exposed bra straps, but I know that I'm not Trapped in a Box and can expose my bra straps and still live a Platinum Blonde Life.

Holla Back Girl! What's you take on this Serious Bra strap issue?

Advice for wearing exposed bra straps: Don't get it Twisted.

Please tell me there are others out there who are huge Gwen/No Doubt fans like me!!
And if not I apoligize, I could have gone but I decided to stop at 20 song titles.

Look of the Day: I {hella} Love the Bay, Like I Love LA

Yesterday I took my 13 year old friend Karen for her first trip Telegraph Ave and Downtown Berkley. Karen and I call each other sisters because we look a lot alike, and I have known her since she was 5 so she likes to come to me for sisterly advice. Karen always asks me questions about what kind of things I did as a teenager and Telegraph has come up a lot because I spent a lot of time wandering around there buying hemp bracelets and funky rings. And, to my regrets, I came home with several holes in my ears from there, seven holes to be exact. So it was fun to take Karen around and see the typical Telegraph street crowd (always entertaining) , the college campus and experience some hippie vegetarian food.
We dined at Saturn Cafe, and it was the second best Veggie burger I have ever had.
The best being the Beet burger from The Pant Cafe in San Francisco.
It is really cute how the place is decorated like a typical diner but everything was Vegan and Vegetarian! Gotta love it.
I ordered the sliders, a collection of four of their famous burgers. The Jalapeno was my favorite. Karen ordered the Saturn burger with a side of their award winning fries. Karen also wanted to try a milkshake, she picked Turkish Coffee for us to sample. So good!
I ended being a tourist myself and I purchased a T shirt because I just couldn't resist.
I mean I do HELLA love the bay.
And as a lifelong Nor Caler, hella is one word I can't seem to shake from my vocabulary.
Gwen Stefani knows what it's all about. The rest of the SoCalers like to point out any time hella rolls off my tongue.
You've got me feeling Hella Good, So let's just keep on dancing.
Abercrombie plaid shirt, American Apparel I hella Love the Bay Tee, J Brand Jeggings.
I hope your Friday is hella good!

Look of The Day: You Came in With the Breeze, On Sunday Morning

Even after the shenanigans of the wedding Saturday night, I was still able to wake up at eight a.m. and head to Target. When shoes are calling my name, I listen, and listen I did. I love my Cynthia Vincent Luella wedges, so you can only imagine how excited I was about this Target collaboration. I ordered a few pairs online but I needed to go to the store to make sure I was able to snag a pair of the cognac wedges, and snag, I did. I will be posting pictures of my purchases shortly.
Clearly on an early morning I needed an easy outfit to throw on, and nothing is easier then a maxi dress. When I throw one on I feel comfy and still feel put together.
This Lauren Conrad for Kohls dress achieved that sentiment perfectly!

I am 5'6 and it was a bit shorter then I prefer, but the color and price sold me. My cardigan is an old Urban Outfitters (BDG) one.
And because everyone could a use a little Rachel Pally in their life, make sure you check out my current GIVEAWAY.
