Things I Love: Winner Takes All

First of all Thank you for al the Halloween Costume Comments and Compliments.
I just love making costumes!

Last week I recieved my Guerlain Gift prize basket that I won from Styleite Style Sheets Guerlain Giveaway Winner. Remember the one that was picked by Rachel Zoe!?
Even though I recieved it last week I have been too caught up in Baseball to check the products out, today I gave them a look.

I am not a beauty girl and have never owned such luxurious and expensive products before. Honestly I am a little afraid to take them out of their boxes! But I wanted to share with you the products and ask if anyone knows anything about them.

I need to go check the reviews. The packaging is super cool, very James Bond-ish.

Check out this super crazy Lipstick case.
I would feel very fancy or under cover spy busting this out.

It has it's own built in mirror, it's super cool!

And I still have one more product being shipped to me! I can't believe it!
And speaking of winning...LET's GO GIANTS!

Things I love: Rachel Zoe

I've already Facebooked and Tweeted (a handful of times) about this, so thank you to those who congratulated me but this was just too big for me not to share! Ya'll know I love Rachel Zoe, so when I opened up Facebook today and found out that I won the Styleite's Style Sheet's Guerlain Giveaway you know "I Died". She is definitely one of my biggest Fashion Icons and clearly this outfit was inspired by her style. I still can't believe I won, craziness.
This definitely perked up my Friday!
You can see my original post on this outfit here.
Thanks for letting me share ladies and there is a chance to win next week so go upload your outfits!!

Look of the Day: The Rachel Zoe Influence

I'm easily influenced. When I see Lauren Conrad wearing a party dress I love, I immediately try to track it down. When Maratha's magazine spread blows me away, I try to recreate it. And when I spend an hour every Tuesday night watching Rachel Zoe going banana's over Pucci feather dresses, I can't help but wake up the next morning and reach for my faux fur vest and flare jeans. I threw in a Beret and chunky rings to add the perfect touch of Zoe.

The Rachel Zoe's Style A to Z is a great book to look for for all things Zoe.

I purchased these True Religion's from the Nordstrom Half Yearly. I hadn't worn True Religion's since the good old Jessica Simpson days and considered returning but after trying them on yesterday I decided to keep them, they just need to be hemmed up a bit.

Fur vests and bell bottoms don't have to be just for when you're styling dresses for the oscars. Suburban girls can fun to, right?

Things I love: The Rachel Zoe Project

Bring on the faux fur, berets, piles of bracelets, over-sized sunglasses, bell bottoms and I die's. Just like last season when I wanted everything Zoe, I expect nothing less this season. OMG in that preview of the season did you see all her amazing jackets!? I am on the hunt for a fabulous jacket to wear this fall and winter and I would love a faux version of one for the ones Rachel Zoe rocks.

Rachel Zoe's style is quite simply amazing and I expect another incredible season. I will miss Taylor, her style rocked too. It sucks that Taylor obviously did somethings that weren't honest but it's too bad she had no way to defend whatever happened since it was all from Rachel's view. The lesson here is don't mes with Rachel! In any case, so excited to see lots of fabulous fashions and inspirations.I mean how cool was that Demi Moore shoot? Giraffes, the beach and the Lady Gaga Alexander McQueen shoes? Bananas!Image Source

Copy Cat Style: Taylor Jacobson

I *think* I may have mentioned that I am obsessed with Rachel Zoe. Today's Copy Cat style is inspired from her assistant Taylor Jacobson. Taylor wears a very cool sideways cross necklace. Her necklace is made by Kathy at Roseark and is priced at $825.00 ($550 without the diamond). Mine is an Etsy knockoff made by classicdesigns and is sold for $41. Sure there is a difference in the quality, but wow it gets the look across. I love that you can wear it sideways (like Taylor) or if worn up by your collar bone it is right side up. Such a cool piece. Click here to purchase your own. I love mine, thank you classicdesigns!

Where the Wild Things Are

Who doesn't have fond memories of reading this book? The Where the Wild Things Are was short 10 sentence story but it was filled with pictures that said a thousand words. I remember spending hours looking at all the small hidden details in Maurice Sendak's illustrations. Sendeck's lovable story has finally come to life in a feature film directed by Spike Jonze. I personally cannot wait to see the movie. And from the Wild Things display I spotted at Urban Outfitters, to these amazing Wild Things designs at Opening Ceremony, it seems like everyone is just as excited as I am. Wouldn't this Max suit be the perfect costume to wear on a cold Halloween night? Or just any cold night for that matter! If I was dressing up for Halloween I would consider fashioning a DIY version for myself. Being cold is my biggest fear on All Hallow's Eve. A vest that would make Rachel Zoe "DIE".
I am obsessed with this Bull Shawl Jacket. And to quote Gwen Stefani "How sick is this"?

Copy Cat Style: Rachel Zoe and Lauren Conrad

Our Mail debacle was FINALLY solved. Apparently one of our neighbors requested a vacation stop and some how the address got mixed up and our mail was held. So we got a ton of mail today, including the much anticipated American Eagle Faux Fur vest. When I ripped open the package I knew it was perfect. I got a few requests to review this item so I threw on a little outfit to give you my review. It was every thing I hoped it to be. Not to big, not too furry, and JUST right. I feel oh so Rachel Zoe in this thing. The only thing I did notice is that it itched my arms a bit but it did not itch my neck. LOVE this thing, and I expect to wear it often, I highly recommend it. As for sizing I took a small. Thanks again to J at The Look for Less for finding this! You can find this item here

I also wanted to review another item I got today, which I also threw on to review. It was the Ecote Geo Wrap skirt from Urban Outfitters, as seen on Lauren Conrad. This is one many of the "Copy Cat" styles you will see me post on here. I sometimes see styles I feel the need to emulate. As for my review I loved this skirt as well. I thought the pleating on it was so cute. Very Philip Lim for a great price . It runs small though. I am a wearing a size 4 in the skirt. You can find this item here.

Look of the Day: Vested Interest

Lately I have been obsessed with the Rachel Zoe project on Bravo. If you love fashion like me, then I'm sure it is an obsession of yours as well. Rachel has taught me that a girl can never have enough sequins and vest are Amazing! I have been on the search for a faux fur vest to rock a'la Rachel Zoe. But had yet to find the perfect one. I ordered a Joie vest that I saw on Rachel's show, but let's be honest, it made me look like the abominable snowman. It is going to get sent back. Today my friend J (the genius behind The Look for Less blog) pointed me in the direction of THIS sweet faux fur vest from American Eagle. I swiftly ordered myself one. I hope this vest works!

American Eagle vest.

H&M vest that reminded me of a sequin vest Rachel wore on her show.

The Joie vest that is going back. It looked cute on this model.. on me not so much.
Rocking a sweater vest today. How Mr. Rodgers of me.
