Inspiration Board: The Waiting Game

With Labor Day weekend just a few days away summer it feels as if it's coming to a close. I have yet to make any fall purchases and am patiently waiting out as long as I can to purchase jackets and boots, because I know the weather in California will stay rather warm for awhile. But I have been compiling pictures and making inspiration boards so when I am ready to purchase I only purchase a few items that I can get the most wear out of.
Here a few looks from ShopBop.com that are inspiring me for fall:
Flat OTK boots are definitely on my list for fall.
What are you lusting for?

Look of the Day: Dude, You Just got Patty Slapped

If I ever was reborn in another decade I think it would be the seventies. That era always intrigued me. This weekend I took it back to the 70's via some cinema fun. After back to back nights of watching The Lords of Dogtown and Dazed and Confused, the 70's seriously influenced my outfits. Blockbuster really has a hold on me. My nights of movie watching immediately had me reaching for my bell bottoms and Ray Bans to throw on. Something about that era just gets to me, and when I watch movies from it, it overcomes me. Not to mention these weren't things I was planning on packing so they were fair game. Packing sucks, but that's another story.
Here's to Adidas shirts, knee socks, long hair and your BFF zipping you up in your favorite Bell Bottoms.

Free People top, 18th Amendment Harlow Jeans, Hurley belt, and random sandals.
And my movie watching outfit.
Victoria Secret Flannel, Rolling Stones tee, Forever 21 beret Juicy sweats.
Yay for being senior, rocking bell bottoms and Heath Ledger!

Style Inspiration: Bikini Alert Bizirk

I haven't taken outfit pictures the last two days, partly because it has been rainy and gloomy, and I over that weather. And partly because I have been hitingt up the gym before coming home and taking pictures of my outfits ( I am more likely to go if I go right after work, rather then coming home and finding "better" things to do). It's that time of year where my workouts are amped up. As Jen and I like to call it, it's Bikini Alert Bizerk season. I suppose when I start thinking of hosting pool parties in my backyard, my motivation sets in. Not that I don't always think it important to work out but this time of the year I actually enjoy being "up in the gym just working on my fitness (He's my Witness)". The following pictures found via We Heart it are my current motivation pictures, not because they are Victoria Secret Model perfect, but because they are confident women working it. Oh and because I love Retro Bathing suits!

Yay for bikinis, pool parties and confidence in your body!

Style Inspiration: Trench Coats

There are some pieces that are just so classic you have to own them. The trench should be high up on that list. My Breakfast at Tiffany's binge had me dying over trenches. Here are some of my favorite ladies rocking the trench, I for one don't own one but Chloe just sold me on the F21 one, which I just ordered. Also check out Ehayes post for more fabulous and affordable trenches!!

Maybe I could rock something like this Burberry Trench Look with my new Ash Wedges! And thanks to Chloe's post I had to order this trench...LOVE!!! Check her rocking it out here. The trench coat is the only thing that has kept its head above water.” - Jack Lipman.

Last week I posted about being excited about the mixed prints trend. Here are some images I have saved that I plan to use as inspiration for some of my outfits this spring.
