Things I Love: REGALIA

I love clothes. I always have. I mean DUH, I played with barbies and her regalia was AMAZING. Ball gowns, Party dresses and high heels. That LADY gave me HIGH hopes.
I mean everyone goes to parties and wears sparkly dress right? YUP! Even Dr. Barbie & Race Car Barbie. To be honest I never even owned a Ken (my Barbies were NOT heterosexual but that's another story...LOL).
In any case while I love clothes and shopping when I make purchases I make LIFETIME purchases. And i'm not sure if that means my lifetime or there's but either way Imma gonna wear my clothes till I die or they do. I follow trends but really I wear and buy things that look good on me and that i L-O-V-E.
I have certain brands that I know will fit me no mater what. I'm loyal and not just with brands...
Louboutin, Elizabeth & James, Haute Hippe, J BRAND, and Free People are all go-to brands for me. I know they're gonna fit. Honestly I hate returning & I hate trying on clothes. 99% of the time I know whether or not something will fit or not and 99% of the time I love a piece and I'm going to hang on to it forever. I RARELY give clothes away. I'm a collector and that's how I fell about my clothes. I mean all girls need to own 150 dresses... RIGHT? I mean if Barbie taught me anything it's that pretty Blonde (and ALL ladies) can be anything thhey want and shit... They can never have enough dresses or High heels.
Here are some pieces I could add to my "LIFETIME" Collection:

I could rock this on the red carpet & I think I'd make barbie proud.

everyone would know "Who's dat girl" if I rocked this.

No need to "put a ring on it" I'll put my own ring on. And preferably on my middle finger, I LOVE "flip-off" rings...

I don't wear anything but Loubotins. I DIG his designs. Maybe one day I'll get a pair of Jimmy Choos, but until then I'll KILL my feet and ROCK my red soles. Martha taught me well, even if she Shapries over the FLASHY red. I'm a FLASHY kinda girl. Learned that from BAR-BEE.

And since we're talking barbie check out this picture my GIRL Brooke Goff drew. Radical right? SO proud of her for making the decision to go to Art School. Girl's got TALENT!

So what are you loyal to? Tell me please...

Look of the Day: Maximum Potential

The weather is warm, my maxi skirts are back in action, and my bike has been getting more miles on it then my car. There's not much to complain out (well... the Giants could play a little better) and I couldn't be happier.
I look forward to many more weekends filled with poolside time and bare shoulders.

This skirt is one of my favorite weekend pieces to rock. It doesn't need much else because it makes a statement by it's self and it so fun to wear.

Look of the Day: Half Full

Not sure what I miss more, getting dressed, eating, or talking. And I can't help but wonder which of those will be the first to make it back in the rotation. I suppose I picked a good week to be laid up on the couch, since I'm totally missing out on the rain. See I'm always looking at the glass half full. My garden gets rain and I get to avoid dressing around it, I couldn't ask for a better plan.

Look of the Day: Game Show Love Connection

My week is going pretty well so far and I hope yours is too. My sister is in town, so yesterday I went to my Mom's to eat dinner and watch Jeopardy with them. One of the contestants shared her blog link -- such a smart idea! Now I am daydreaming about how I would write my name, what story I would share with Alex and practicing responding to statements in question form.
The fifth day of the week. What is Thursday?

Look of the Day: Foreign Affairs

I hope your Labor Day weekend was a great one. Mine was nice and laid back and spend on the sunny shores of Lake Tahoe, but more on that later. On our way up to Tahoe we stopped by Casey's brother's to visit our newest nephew. He was only 10 days old n Friday and so tiny!

Now, I'm not one for holding babies but after a while I didn't feel quite so panic stricken. It just feels so foreign to me to be holding such a fragile little person. But wearing a maxi skirt? Now that's something that feels just right to me.
Elizabeth and James Maxi Skirt (similar here), H&M vest, H&M pendant.
Not looking too uncomfortable.
Yay for new nephew...we were waiting for a boy!

Look of the Day: Worlds Collide

Yesterday I had plans to meet Jen from the Look 4 Less and Kara from Fashionably Inspired at a couple of my favorite stores in the city. When I went to breakfast with my friend Jen I mentioned my plans for the day she decided she wanted to come along and see what this "other side" of my life was all about. Or as Casey said, my worlds were colliding.

I have known Jen and Kara for years long before any of us had blogs. Just over four years ago I joined a fashion forum that at one point became a big part of my life. Through that fashion forumI met many girls who became my friends in real life. Kara and Jen are just some of the friends I met and it is always nice to meet them in person. Kara and I are both fro California and have hung out a few times before, and even have some mutual not online friends. But it was my first time meeting Jen and she was just as sweet as I expected. It's strange when you have know someone online for so long, it's not weird when you meet them in real life. I was also able to meet Jen's husband Josh, who patiently waited while I shopped until we all dropped.

After our (or my) shopping excursion, Jen and Josh treated us to Irish Coffees at Buena Vista.
It was a really fun day and I am so happy my worlds have officially collided! I love all my friends online and in real life.

Worlds colliding: My Jen, Jen from Look 4 less, Kara from Fashionably Inspired and me!
And of course my outfit.
My Jen told me I looked like Ursala in my skirt.
Elizabeth and James skirt, Torn by Robby Kobo Tank top, Nordstrom shirt, and Cynthia Vincent for target sandals.
Yay for Kara, Jen, and Jen. And of course for my worlds colliding!!

Look of Day: Don’t Let the Sound of Your Own Wheels Drive you crazy

Take is Easy is the motto for my weekend, and that's what I did. Honestly I didn't really have much of a choice, my body let me know how much I could handle and I found myself laying down after trying to do much. I am however, refusing to let chill mode completely take over me, and many of you commented on how I not scummed to a sweats routine. So far I haven't seen a need to, I am able to wear clothes just as comfy as sweats and still feel put together enough for the guests that have been popping in. Today my Urban tank, and Elizabeth and James maxi skirt allowed for total comfort and my JCrew Denim vest was the perfect thing to throw on for an extra layer. And the headbands I have been wearing allow me wear air dried hair while not looking totally sloppy.
Getting my denim fix in the form of layers this week.
Looking totally serious, and not all that normal sans mascara and eyeliner.
Just as comfy as sweats and a tee.
In Chill mode.
Jcrew Tank Top jacket ( I mean vest), Elizabeth and James maxi skirt from last year (similar here), Urban outfitters tank top and urban bralette.
I just had to ditch the vest to transform my outfit into catnap gear.
We even ventured outside the house today for the first time! Thank goodness because I was starting to go crazy being co0ped up!!My mom met us a for an early dinner because I had a weird random craving for a French dip sandwich! I cannot remember the last time I had steak but luckily they had mini sandwiches on the happy hour menu so I was able to get a small fix. Going out for a quick bit to eat is about all I have energy for right now, shopping or anything that requires walking is still out of the question for now.
Casey and I on the patio, the weather was perfect to sit outside and eat. Thanks Mom!
Yay for patio time, long comfy skirts and The Eagles.

Look of the Day: Stuck in the 90's

143 is what we say when we're texting...You mean paging! Omg anyone else remember the {good} old days of pagers!? Wow, we were just begging for text messaging, weren't we? Forgive me if you were too young to have deal with pagers. Well, these days of having banned internet and really bad At&t phone service at work have me feeling reminiscent of the old days of relying on pager codes and an internet consisting of AOL chat rooms (uumm creepy).
Ohh and with the lack of technology, I am also lacking my trusty tripod, she broke, lame. So you have just mirror pictures until I replace her.

I am wearing an old Elizabeth and James blazer (Similar E&J and similar for less), Jbrand Doll Jeans, skinny Forever 21 belt (similar F21 here) and and a Nordstrom BP button up.
My inspiration from the Vogue May 2010 issue. 823!

How I Shop: She (Chloe) Made Me Do it

Last night Chloe tweeted about these amazing Elizabeth and James shoes. Well I knew immediately I had to have them. For one, I adore Chloe 's style pick from her is golden and I LOVE Elizabeth and James. I snagged the shoes for $78, pretty amazing deal I have to say. I usually opt for heels with a platform in front but Chloe always rocks heels without platforms and I am SO excited to wear these Chloe selected shoes! I only hope whatever I pair them with makes Chloe proud, lol. YAY! Thanks Chloe!!

Look of The Day: Make it Work

Anyone else out there a big Project Runway fan!?? Well my day was long and I forgot the most of it. Right now I am just looking forward to Friday, so Project Runway (and a bit of Survivor...whoa blindside!) is all I can seem to think about. For my outfit I rocked one of my favorite Elizabeth and James blazer. Blazers are definitely something I believe investing in ( I wear mine all the time, day and night) and I love the details that the Elizabeth and James blazers have.
This blazer is one of my favorites. (And a similar blazer for a steal at Forever 21).

OK Friday, you couldn't come soon enough!!

Look of the Day: Lovely Lace

Well I am beat! It was like a shock to actually think about real life today after being so caught up in all the holiday extravaganza. Coffee was most definitely my friend today. Anyways, I busted out my Rodarte lace cardigan, umm perfection! I only wish I snagged this thing in other colors.
