Look of the Day: Icon Inspired

I spent my Friday cleaning out my closet for spring. the weather was so nice today I decided it was time to officially pack up my boots. I don't pack them all but it definitely feels too late in the season to wear boots like my Suede Ash Olivia's, I am embracing Spring and sucking it up even if my feet get cold. I pack up my strictly seasonal clothes because it frees up closet space and it forces me to reevaluate clothes when I unpack them in the fall.

While I was cleaning, I felt my outfit very Audry Hepburn inspired (how presumptuous of me), while pairing a striped shirt and head wrap. Audrey Hepburn images have been on my mind since I decided on the dress I am wearing the the wedding tomorrow. The dress I decided on reminds me of one of dress she wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's. So naturally I had to go back through my pictures, to look at all those pictures I took of my TV back in February, when I was watching Breakfast at Tiffany's nightly.

The Icon.
Me, wishing I just had an ounce of her chicness and grace.
"Alright, alright, look - I don't have grace, I don't want grace....I don't even say grace, O.K.?"
Moon River....rocking the head wrap.
And me, in my messy room, organizing!
It is also possible that this Picture of Kurt Cobain, that I posted earlier this week, was my inspiration to break out my Rodarte for Target top.
I resemble him a bit more, don't I?
And the reason I was looking for Audrey Hepburn pictures, these dresses remind of the dress I am wearing tomorrow. Obviously it is not white and it is shorter.
Amazing!
I hope your Friday was more exciting then mine =)

Look of the Day: Walking in the Rain, Thumbing for a ride

Even though it rained and we had to take our party inside we still had a great Easter. We dyed eggs, ate good food and enjoyed our rainy Sunday. As for my outfit I wore one of my Rodarte for Target dresses. When I first purchased this dress I knew I was going to wear it on Easter. I love the bow at the neck and the poofy skirt and I'l use any excuse to rock a dress. Even my friend Cyrus liked my dress, he said it looked a bit old school, almost quakerish! LOL!

After I took this photo I realized I had a huge hole in my tights and I had to change them...
I could wear these shoes everyday...

I did have to bundle up for the Easter Egg hunt in the backyard. Obviously I found the most eggs. I had to keep my winning streak going!
I hope your Sunday was great as well!

Look of the Day: The Dwindling Party

So I am still riding my Rodarte for Target high. Sadly I still have some unworn pieces sitting in my closet (not a good sign!) but this lace printed dress will be one piece that will (and has gotten) get lots of wear. Tavi wore it a few weeks ago and mentioned how it reminded her of Edward Gorey illustrations, which obviously had me (ok I mean I had my Mom) searching for my Edward Gorey Dwindling Party pop up book. At one time this creepy book was my favorite childhood book, apparently it freaked my sister out (she MUST be normal0. The book is now a very expensive colletor item. It was such a creepy book but wow I loved it. And now thanks toTtavi, that is all I can think of when I wear this dress, and it makes me love it even more!
OK so these outfit pictures are old but I forgot to take pictures today!! Deal with it ;)
And the Dwindling party... a book of a family who never made it out of a {theme} park...

If any book should be turned into a movie this one should!! Please tell me someone else adored this book! =)
They were dampened a bit by a brief sudden shower, And apparently Mother dissolved into air.

Look of the Day: Skeletons in My Closet

Mine are just happen to be worn proudly on sequin dresses, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I know this Rodarte Skeleton dress was definitely one of those pieces you either HATED (most of you) or by chance you are a freak like me and loved. I remember Justine saying it was too hideous to even try on! Hehe!!It is not the most versatile dress, or the most wanted dress, but I for one adored it! A skeleton dress? In sequins!? At a Target priceline!? YES PLEASE! The freaks come out at night...or when Rodarte teams up with Target I come out.

Paired with my American Eagle Chambray denim top. LOVE!! The Look 4 less and Beach Black have both featured this top.
And just showing off it's awesomeness

Okay did anyone else have serious blogger problems this weekend?? I couldn't sign one, make comments, had posts eaten and just problems all around... anyone else dealt with that!??

Look of the Day: So You had a Bad Day

Well not having Ellen on American Idol sure was a disappointment to me. I guess that just means I have more to look forward to this season, since I still can't wait to see her in action. As always with American Idol I love how the good singers give me chills! I only wish I could sing like that. I know some of those bad singers are fake but I am JUST like some of them but with a honest group of supporters around me...who let me know me know I can't sing a lick.
Anyways Yesterday Pennie kicked it with me again as debated my accessories. Just picking out a necklace...
While I picked out one, Pennie picked out something outside...
Wearing my Rodarte for Target top, Hinge from Nordstrom Blazer, Jbrand the Doll Jeans, JCrew Necklace and Forever 21 bracelet.
Are you an AI fan?? If you are not what do you watch on Tuesdays? AI is like my only reality TV addiction! Maybe it is time to kick that addiction...

Look of the Day: Gratitude

Thank you to everyone that read my post from this morning and sent Erynn your thoughts and prayers. Today I wanted to wear some green in memory of Patrick, unfortunately my closet is not Saint Patrick's Day friendly but I did my best finding green. I don't know if was the weather or just the memory of last year still so fresh in all our minds and hearts but the day had a gloomy feel to it. Hopefully the weather brightens up soon! I did have a snugly kitty who kept me nice and warm despite the cold and gloominess.
I really need to re-cover my bench! I am still debating on the perfect Amy Bulter pattern.Pennie says hi!
Rocking green.
I am wearing an Elizabeth and James tunic from last year, Rodarte for Target bow belt (worn backwards) and my Ash Olivia boots.
Only two more days till I am in L.A. with Wendy! Our hotel is hosting the Golden Globe Gifting suite!!! I am hoping we see some good celebs!
...Clearly I am not working on limiting my exclamation points.

Look of the Day: I am not Madonna

It is the week of the Rodarte Target dresses, or maybe the week of lace? Either way I can't seem to get enough of either of them this week. Today felt much more normal to me, how about you? I still relied on the coffee but not as much as yesterday. I even got to painting my nails! Huge improvement over yesterday when I didn't even care that I was posting my horrible chipped nail polish job on the internet, wow. Anyways I rocked the black and tan lace printed dress and I really loved it. Of course that wasnt enough lace so added more by fashioning a "vest" out my lace scarf and a belt.
Rocking the Rodarte for Target lace printed dress, lace scarf from Nordstrom (they only have it in cream now) and my Cynthia Vincent Luella Wedges.
And clearly I still need to work on typing on my iPhone, I LOVE it but I am still getting used the Keypad and auto-typing. I was writing about what I was making for dinner and came back to my phone to find this silly message that I "wrote" That is true I am definitely not Madonna....

Look of the Day: Lovely Lace

Well I am beat! It was like a shock to actually think about real life today after being so caught up in all the holiday extravaganza. Coffee was most definitely my friend today. Anyways, I busted out my Rodarte lace cardigan, umm perfection! I only wish I snagged this thing in other colors.

Look of The Day: Stuck In the 2000's

I spent the day trying to catch up on technology. My Dad Santa welcomed me into the new decade with new technology via the iPhone! I spent most of the day attempting to figure out this foreign piece of technology. I rocked a Rodarte top during my trip to the At&t store. We also hit up the post Christmas sales, not as great as I had hoped, actually.

My look, pre-shopping trip.
I got chilly, so I switched out the belt for my Hinge leather jacket. And My iPhone that I have NO idea how to use, lol.
My Dad picked out a sweet plaid case, nice job Dad!
Another piece of technology I can't figure out...Jen I need your Photography help with this one! =)
I am feeling SO 1997 today. Any iPhone tips and and favorite App recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thank YOu!

Look of the Day: Last Minute

I don't what my deal is but I am not motivated this Christmas season and have left much to last minute. Yeah not the best idea. Thank you Mom for motivating me today. Casey and I had a night off from celebrations today and instead got cracking on completing our To-Do list. Off to wrap presents now...oh and try on my Rodarte load!!
Joie Top, American Eagle Vest, COH Jeans and Miss Sixty Bliss boots.
And expect a Rodarte review soon, not that you haven't read enough of those already...
Good luck with all your last minute preparations, or better yet you didn't leave things to last minute like me!

Look of the day: Crazy for Rodarte

Bloggers have been buzzing about this for months, and we have all been waiting for this day for awhile now....the launch of Rodarte for Target's Go International line. I ended up staying up to see the line launch online. I definitely over bought, but I figure returning items will be easier to do then trying to find items later. I was able to pick up the 2 dresses I wanted as well as many other pieces, I can't wait for the packages to arrive!! For a great review with pictures check out Nicole's review on her blog.

Since I no longer had to make it to Target I was able to check off some items off my Christmas to-do list. Along the way we stopped by my Mom's where I picked up some awesome Vintage clothes.
And I rocked a causal Sunday outfit.
Sauce Tee, COH Ava jeans, Frye boots
I really love these boots!
I realized my outfit pics have me looking like the camera head guys in Beyonce's Video phone Music Video. Let me know what you guys picked up from the collection =)

What I am Loving Right Now: Rodarte for Target

I am BEYOND excited for the Rodarte Target collaboration hitting stores December 20th. I have never purchased any of the previous Target designers but I am loving the pieces I have seen from the Rodarte collection. And the prices WOW!

So for those with experience, what is the best way to go about getting the pieces I want? Wait in line December 2oth? Stalk online? Or since I'm on the West Coast check online first and see the store selection??

I am loving these 2 dresses, among other pieces I have seen online.
