Look of the Day: Kris Kross Will Make You

Last Thursday I hit the town with my favorite blogger's to celebrate & support Fashion's Night Out. I had a blast running (and jumping) around with Jeanne and Britt + Whit hitting up all the major department stores, snacking and sipping on some champers.

Oh and we hit the photo scene, obvi.
Spotting camera's from a mile away is *kinda* a hidden talent of mine, just sayin.

Look of the Day: This Looks Like a Job For Me

Guess who's back? Back again?

I've created a monster, cuz nobody want's to see boring posts.
They want outfit posts. Yeah, food posts, they're chopped liver.

this is what I'm about to give ya, a little bit of sequins mixed with some hard leopard.
With some wedges that'll jump-start your heart quicker, then when I get shocked by my closet that's not co-operating.
You waited this long, now stop debating 'cuz I'm back
on the blog, not procrastinating.
So the M-A-C wouldn't let me be, so let me see.
They tried to shut me down on A-N-B, but it feels so empty without me.
So come on and dip,
put you hand on your hip and just rock that 'fit.
But get ready, cuz this mix is about to get heavy. I just settled on my outfit, so rock it betty!

Rain Drops Keep Falling on my Head

There's something about patterns that just make me happy. I'm always drawn to stripes, polka dots and checkers. They are magnetizing in the same way bows and sequins are, they make anything cute. And on a gloomy day like today I think doubling up on patterns is necessary. Seriously spring and sunshine, where are you?

How I Shop: Temptation

My original plan for March was to go on a shopping ban. I figured I only have 13 more days of getting dressed before I spend about two weeks recovering from my tonsillectomy, and then I'm headed off to Arizona where I will be rocking baseball gear. So I figured since I won't be getting dressed that much this month, that holding off on shopping seemed like a good idea -- that is until the J Crew catalog showed up in my mailbox yesterday. Wow, there's so much I want.

I can't remember the last time I wanted something as bad as I want these paillette shorts.

I'm a sucker for stripes, so I think I need this spangled sweater!

And I just love this confetti sweater!!

And this lux baseball tee is just adorable.

And these sour lemon shoes are just too fun!

Look of the Day: Game Show Love Connection

My week is going pretty well so far and I hope yours is too. My sister is in town, so yesterday I went to my Mom's to eat dinner and watch Jeopardy with them. One of the contestants shared her blog link -- such a smart idea! Now I am daydreaming about how I would write my name, what story I would share with Alex and practicing responding to statements in question form.

Look of {Thanksgiving} Day: Sequins and Stripes

I'm a pretty festive person, so I get very excited about wearing holiday outfits. Clearly I knew my JCrew Sequin skirt would get a lot of use this time of year. Don't tell anyone but I actually wore it twice this weekend because I loved it SO much. One this particular day I paired it with a striped JCrew top.

Sequins are something that some see as fancy, but I could wear sequins everyday. What's not to love about them?
Actually I could wear this outfit every single day and be a pretty happy girl.

Look of the Day: Seven Layer Dip

One thing I love about about getting dressed for fall weather is layers. Layers add dimension and interest to any outfit. My love of layers is one reason it would be very hard for me to be join blog challenges such as Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge.

I could never be limited in how many clothes I would wear. For instance in this outfit consists of seven pieces of clothing, not including accessories. I always wear a tank top under tops and I am layering lace socks over brown socks.

Layers turn clothes into outfits for me. And I love when I am able to pair layers from different stores. It makes me feel like I put the outfit together rather then just taking the outfit off the racks and feeling like someone else dressed me.
