*Winner of the $50 to Fleming's is Erinn from Strawberry Swings and Things.*
Let me tell you a few things about me. I like to eat, and I like to eat out. But I'm also sort of vain and I like to stay slim. So when Fleming's asked me pay them visit and show how Beauty-Full girls survive a steak house experience, I was up for the challenge. Because you know what? I'm the kind of girl who, out of habit, orders a salad at a steak house. "Just a salad? Just a salad? Just a salad?"
I decided this trip out was going to be interesting for me, because I was determined not to order just a salad. However, the cobb salad with Lobster and vinaigrette was pretty tempting! I took my mom along with me, who also likes to eat and watches her figure.
I started my night out with a Russian Prom Queen, because the name sold me on the spot, and the blueberries & vodka sounded like a nice way to begin my night. And for 99 calories, it was right on point with my beauty-full plan. My Mom went with wine, she's classy like that.
I was off to a good start, only 99 calories and a small buzz going. I treated myself to a small piece of bread with flavored butter because, well, I was hungry. Deciding on what to order was a not easy, but surprisingly there were many options. Now, if I were a meat eater, which I'm not, I could have ordered the petite Mignon and there was a fabulous chicken breast option as well. Instead we took the seafood route.
We selected two seafood courses (the sole and the scallops) to share. We also picked two side dishes (the carrots and the green beans) to compliment our main courses. It turned out beauty-fully.
We made to sure to save room because the dessert menu was very tempting. We ordered a berry creme brulee, it was a heck of a night.
If you would like to win $50 to Fleming's (perfect for their 5 for 6 till & happy hour) leave a comment and contact information (blog link or email). And tell me who you would take to Fleming's and how you would keep your steak house trip beauty-full.*
A winner will be announced and or contacted Monday August 22nd.

I would take my hubby for a great dinner! And I'd wear leggings so I could eat comfortably to my heart's content (and still look good!)
ReplyDeleteyummm...Flemings was at my work's black tie even providing big slices of prime rib (when all the other resturants were dolling out little bitty bites of things) - I don't even like prime rib but it was AH-MAY-ZING. I would take my boyfriend...and wear dark clothing so when I slop on myself (inevitable) I'd still look good :)
ReplyDeletesign me up!... I'd take the husband, but since we are both like you (non-meat eaters), we'd probably order almost the exact same dishes (look so good!!)
ReplyDeleteI would definitely take my boyfriend for a fabulous dinner out :) That martini sounds delish!!
ReplyDeleteI would take my husband, and since cutting the carbs out of my life, I live for meat, so eating at a steak house is just up my alley! I like to keep it beauty full by making sure I wear my favorite going out jeans...they have just enough give to be comfortable, but also remind me not ro gorge myself because even though the food is so yummy, I hate the feeling of feeling stuffed at the end of the night.

You could have ordered a "Big Salad . . . It's a salad, only bigger, with lots of stuff in it." LOL ! Everything looks so good. . YUM-O! Now Im hungry and its lunch time for me. . . where's the nearest Flemings? LOL XOXO Suzanne
ReplyDeleteHey Amber! Fleming's is amazing! I would take my boyfriend. He and I are seafood lovers and that's also calorie conscious. (I'd also get a small portion of meat. Love my steak!)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to get in on this giveaway. My husband and I are both big fans of Fleming's and the filet mignon. We could share the dessert, so we don't overdo it, that should help keep it a beauty-full meal.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity, Amber! I love Flemings! If I won, I would take my boyfriend. We've both been on tight budgets lately so going on a nice dinner date would do the body good (so would stepping out in my never-worn lace strapless dress)! I'd order the salmon and he would probably order the prime rib.

Oh!! So glad you got to try out Flemings!! I love your mom's top!!
ReplyDeleteIf you go back, try ordering the "Mystical" drink. It is no longer on the menu, but it is basically vodka, Midori, and their housemade sweet and sour. So good!!
Here is my entry for the Fleming $50 card...
I would take my husband. I would probably get the burger at the bar...with cheddar cheese and bacon!! Or the steakhouse cobb salad with lobster. :)

I had soooo much fun, I want to go back.
ReplyDeleteI would take you Amber, and this time I would try the Alaskan King Crab Legs...oooh yummy
Love this. I would take my hubby as he is the meat eater (I do eat meat but it has to be organic, no antibiotics and grass fed). So I would probably eat a lot of the items you had. It all looks so delicious.

I would love to win, and would take the husband for a belated anniversary dinner:)

How FUN! An awesome date night with your MAMA!!
ReplyDeleteI am a HUGE Fleming's fan. Huge.
At this moment I would take my BFF, Katie (Sorry boyfriend), because she has been there for me as I have been making some big changes in my life. One of the changes is Weight Watchers so having a beauty-full meal while watching the waist line sounds FAB. I would be *good* and choose the salmon and have asparagus on the side while I would be drooling over the Filet and their amazing potato dish that is To DIE for! I'd skip the alcohol and splurge on dessert!
Thanks for the opportunity!

ReplyDeleteI would take my fiance to Flemings with me!

woot woot hey Amber! So I would def take my sister, cuz happy hour at Flemmings is usually our thing. I'd keep it Beauty-full by ordering a glass of Syrah- gotta get those antioxidants to keep that skin glowing :), and the bacon burger with swiss cheese, BUT i'd cut that sucker in half cuz it's pretty hearty on it's own, and so I can nibble on the rest later when I'm actually hungry again!
ReplyDeletehehe- that was (literally) a mouthful :). following obvi!

I have a great memory of eating at Fleming's with my dad on the last night of a cross-country road trip. He helped move me, his only child, 2300 miles across the country in a U-haul, helped me unpack, set up my furniture in my first apartment, then treated me to one of the most amazing dinners out on his last night before flying home. I had no idea portions were so large, but he did, and he purposefully over-ordered so I would have lots of leftovers. So nice!
ReplyDeleteSince I have just moved across the country again, I don't have anyone to take out to Flemings yet. If my dad stops by for a visit though, I'll have to treat him this time.
