Look of the Day: Glitter-rific

Yesterday I attended the the Glitter Guide Launch party (pictures to follow) so you know I had to bust out some sequins. I evaluated the glitter options in my closet and went with a sequin vest that I purchased from H&M after seeing Rachel Roe wear something similar. Ya'll know I love her. I decided an event like last night's was the perfect opportunity to bust out some of my Louboutins, who spend most of their time looking pretty in my shoe closet, and get dolled up. I topped things off with a few sparkly jewelry pieces and some Sally Hansen Glitter nail strips. It's fun to get ready to go hang out with a big group of girls and celebrate all things glittery!

Big thanks to the Lovely Glitter Girls for throwing a perfect opportunity to get all glittered up and girly!

Although I wore the shirt tied it still showed a bit of skin -- giving the outfit a pin-up feel.

Look of the Day: I do my Moves, I do my Dance Moves

The wedding last night was a blast. We had a great time celebrating with old friends, we danced it up all night. I wore a dress that I picked up a while ago. One day I was in hurry to get somewhere when I drove past My Roommates Closet and out of the corner of my eye I saw this dress in their window display. Even though I was in a hurry, I immediately pulled over and parked illegally in a no parking zone. I ran into the boutique and asked if they had any of dresses in my size. Turns out, the one on the mannequin was the only dress left, and it was my size. I was sold, with no time to try on the dress I just crossed my fingers it would work and ran back out of the store and continued on my way. Luckily the dress fit and worked perfectly, I have waiting to wear ever since, and finally last night I broke it out.
Got my Party Dress on, and my dancing shoes on!

Haute Hipipe dress (same dress made out of jersey and without beading here)Paired with my favorite shoes of all time, my Christian Louboutin Delic, I also carried my LAuren Merkin Tatum clutch (seen here).
I feel like barbie when I wear these shoes.
And I did do my makeup, but no one can figure out to use my camera, so I didn't get a good picture of it. I used Mac Statin Taupe, Vex and Dazzlelight.
I hope everyone's Saturday was fun as well!

Look of the Day: Sister, Sister

how about a two-way twister?

I think I may have mentioned I way a huge TGIF fan (oh just here and here). Those Fridays spent watching ABC pretty good...
Yesterday I actually rocked a bit of color again! Perhaps I am easing myself into spring. In any case, I am very excited for this weekend. My sister is coming into town and we celebrating her birthday, YAY! I LOVE my family and I love spending time with them, so I am very excited. To kick my weekend off, Casey and I went out on a date last night to a fabulous tapas restaurant. I wore my Yumi Kim Amber top (same top different print on sale here). I purchased this blouse after seeing it on Lauren Conrad and I am so glad I did, it is such a perfect fitting blouse! I highly recommend it.
Worn with my Christian Louboutins and COH jeans. (Similar shoes here).
When shopping for a special sister of mine I purchased these mile long Free People earrings.I tried on and they were freakishly close to the pattern of my shirt. Random! And of course I rocked my Bow Necklace ( just like the one I am GIVING AWAY)YAY! For the weekend!!

Look of The day: Hey Sister, Soul Sister

Last week I shared with you guys that I was one of the Lauren Merkin Facebook Contest winners. Well today I came home to a special package!! My Lauren Merkin clutch arrived!! I am so excited! It is amazing. It is my first Lauren Merkin clutch and I think I am hooked! Thank you so much to the Lauren Merkin team for picking me to be one of the winners and for holding such a fabulous contest. The clutch I won is timeless classic but it also has a edgy vibe to it, perfect for me. I know it will often accompany my outfits. Also be sure to fan Lauren Merkin on Facebook and keep your eye out for up coming contests.

Not only did I win a fabulous clutch by entering this contest I also met a new friend! Fellow blogger and Lauren Merkin Contest winner, The fabulous Queen of Hearts. We connected right away, because we have similar taste in clothes and own some of the same shoes, dresses (including the one she wore in her New Years Eve look) and we both choose the Tatum Lauren Merkin Clutch. Ms. Queen of Hearts said it best when she said we were like Soul Sisters, I have to agree. Make sure to check out her blog next week as she blogs from fashion week and head over now to check out see what Lauren Merkin she picked and to see her award winning New Years outfit. I love making blog friends!
The Really Sweet Note From the Lauren Merkin Team, Thanks again!
