Happy Birthday Erynn!

Today is my good friend, Erynn's birthday. Erynn is turning 25 this year and she has endured more then any 25 should ever have to. If you have not heard about Erynn's tragedy from me, you should go check out her blog and some send some love and support her way. She is a strong women and I am proud to call her a a good friend. I went down and visited her in the OC a couple weeks ago, and we had a great time. We shopped in Hollywood and ate at her favorite restaurant Mastro's. It was an amazing night. She has the cutest babies Will and Reese, who are so fun to hang out with. I can't wait to hang out with them again soon. Love ya E and wishing you a wonderful birthday. XoXo

Adventure Awaits

I am packing for China right now. We are headed there with a group of friends to visit our good friend who moved to Beijing a year and half ago. I hope to take many wonderful pictures and experience a culture new to me. I have my bag packed full of raw foods bars but I have no idea what my diet will consist of in China. It should be interesting. But I feel a big cleanse coming on when we return. I will also be celebrating my birthday there, so it should be a birthday I will not forget! I know I will have lots of blog posts to read up on when I get back! My google reader will be on serious overload!

Double Duty

For my centerpieces on my coffee table I like to have fresh flowers. For my kitchen table I like to use fresh fruits and vegetables. Lemons are usually a main stay in my cake stand. They are gorgeous plus I use lemons all the time while cooking. Artichokes in a big bowl are pretty as well. Today I have two pineapples framing my mainstay lemons. I love that gorgeous fruit can double as an eco-friendly and healthy centerpiece. PLus they smell wonderful as well. Raw, Green and gorgeous!

Pretty little things

Everyone should have fresh flowers in their life. I usually get mine from the farmers market, my garden or from Trader Joes. I always try to have some fresh, local, seasonal flowers around my house. Collecting fun vases to put them in is a recent hobby of mine as well. Here are a few of the recent beauties to brighten up my coffee table.

Take me Out to the Ball game.

Watching sports has always been a huge part of my life. The year my parents got divorced and my Dad moved out, we (mom, sis and I) went a year without anyone turning on a game. It took me a that long to realize I had to be the one to follow the season because no else in our house was turning on ESPN. Now I watch more sports then my Dad ;) . Baseball being my number one sport. I am a huge baseball fan. I live for this season. I have sports talk radio on all the time, read the sports section religiously, watch as many games as I can and go to as many games as possible.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of going to the going to the game with Micheal and Rebecca. We always have a great time with them. We went for Micheal's birthday, so crazy it had been 3 years since the last time we celebrated Micheal's birthday at At&t park. Micheal hooked us up with some really great seats, can't wait to go again!

Sucessfull Saturday

I went to the gym, the farmers market, took my car to the shop, went on a bike ride and to costco. I picked up lots of RAW foods on the way. Here is my haul for the week. All but the banana's greens, avocados and peppers were from my local farmers market. YUM! Heading to the back yard to read some research papers, listen to the giants game and get my daily does of Vitamin D. Hope you all are enjoying your sunny weekends as well. =)

Green Sunday

Just got back from a No Doubt/Lady Gaga gym season and I'm feeling Hella Good. I am relaxing in Gypsy 05 sweatshirt drinking coconut water in the rain and feeling pretty sustainable, I love when things come in their own biodegradable container ;). It's almost summer and I am back on my raw food kick. I crave it when it is farmers market season, weekly hauls to come soon... Check out Gena's blog, my new favorite food blog, for more info on raw food, her contest and her and Jenna's raw food challenge.

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday. Keep it green ;)

Easter 2009 Recap

We had a fun and casual Easter celebration this past Easter. Some egg coloring, hunting and fresh veggie eating went down . I was pretty excited to put out my vintage egg holder, that I found antiquing. We went pretty basic with our eggs this year, nothing fancy. But something tells me I am a bit old to get this excited about hunting for eggs:

Hope your weekend was good too!

Background Noise

I had a ton of school work I planned to get through tonight and I got a lot done! I love getting a jump start on the quarter. I set up my study area, free of distractions. I had a lot of reading to get through. I had planned to read out side in the afternoon, but as mother nature had planned rain, which we desperately needed, but put a damper on my relaxing study plans. Instead I put out some candles and flowers and set up shop inside. The rain played a great part in my studying environment, I need background knowledge noise when I am studying, today the rain, thunder, lighting and even hail accompanied my study time.

My study area for today:
The view over the top of my computer.
The rain going strong.
Can you see the white lines on the fence? That's the rain. My hail pictures did not turn out, but we welcomed all the precipitation, it was desperately needed! And I love the sound of rain!
