Flowers of the Week: Cupid's Chokehold

I went with Valentines day colors to add a bit more festivity to the ambiance of the house. I think gerberas *may* be my favorite flower, I just love them!
Right!? Does it get any more perfect then this!??

These are red but came out orange in the pictures.
In my planter boxes, which were an idea I copied from The Lettered Cottage. The boxes were purchased at Home Goods.

I just love fresh flowers =)

Pumpkin 3.14

This summer I decided to include pumpkins in my vegetable garden. I thought it wold be cool to have my own home grown pumpkins in time for Halloween. The plants grew like crazy, almost like weeds. Their vines curled out and over, far beyond the edges of my vegetable garden. Unfortunately my gardener thought this was a problem that needed to be fixed. After the pumpkin massacre I was left with one lone survivor. She's doing rather well, considering. It's doesn't look like she is going to grow up to be a Jack-O-Lantern, I think she is destined to be a pie. A pumpkin pie.
On a happier note here is a picture of one of my herb crates filled with sunflowers. These herb crates are an idea stolen from The Lettered Cottage and purchased at Home Goods. Sunflowers just make me happy.

She's Crafty

Here is a sneak peak of my craft/girly/dress up room. It is still in the works but here is a sneak peak of *my* room. It houses my area for Martha Stewart wanna be crafts, my piano (which I am trying to get back into) and best of all my "party" dresses and shoes! I still need to attempt my best HollyBerry white on some pieces to complete my room. Desk and Trunk from Home Goods.
