I'm up & outta here for a weekend in Vegas. My first trip there not as a married lady!! Should be fun. Our plan is to dance to Kaskade, AfroJAck & Calvin Harris. Things I Love: Little Vegas Dress

It may be Friday (did this weekend sneak up on anyone else!?) but I'm already thinking about NEXT weekend. Next Saturday (after I watch the Niners kick some ashh) I am headed off to Vegas with my friend Sara and I'm SO EXCITED!!
This trip to Vegas will mark the first time I have ever been to Vegas when I'm single & I look forward to a very classy (but DANCEY) trip to Vegas sans a husband. I'm sorta looking at the trip as my un-Bachlorette party. And let me tell you, nothing is going to stay in Vegas, I don't participate in that kind of shenanigans, and you know I can't hide anything from y'all. I love you too much for that.
In preparation for the trip I plan on using some of my Christmas SWAG to purchase myself a LVD (Little Vegas Dress) to rock with my new new Michael Kors Clutch that my mom gifted me for Christmas (LOVE & MISS YOU MOM!).
You know this party animal loves her a PARTY dress. So I'm spending my Friday morning mulling over my LVD options and I'd love your opinion. I am DYING over the Pierre Balmain's asymetical twist on the LBD. You know I love me a funky accent, and I would also love to add an Alexander Wang dress to my collection. I can never have enough dresses, that's for sure.

Look of the Day: Under the Influence

I often blog about people or things that influence my style. One other element that influences my style is traveling. This past summer, after I came back from Beijing, I found myself drawn towards red, royal blues and yellow. Beaded bracelets and (fake) jade jewelry also made their appearance in my outfit. At first glance of this outfit, you may think I was under the influence of alcohol when I picked it out, but in fact it was Vegas that was the influence. While I was there this past weekend I observed Cocktail waitresses, Elvis impersonators, little old lady gambling addicts and showgirls. All of their outfits had me dreaming of feathers, gold Lamé and faux fur. This vintage jumpsuit satisfied my craving for all things Vegas, even if Casey thinks I look like C3PO in it " He excels at that".

I felt ohh soo Ginger from Casino in this outfit.

Looking at all the old pictures of my Grandma may have also influenced this outfit.

Rocking my Mom's vintage romper, an old Fendi purse, and Christian Louboutin heels
I suppose I felt bit reminiscent of C3PO in it.

Things I Love: Travel Trinkets

I love weekend getaways but most of my weekend getaways are too close in location that buying a souvenir would be silly. But I still like to collect a keepsake from trips, so I have began to collect small keepsakes from my trips, like Matchsticks, hotel key cards and hotel pens. They are small reminders to me of fabulous weekends. I suppose I am only a step away from being a "Ross."
I store them in my mason jars or arandl=omly around my house to remind myself of fun times.

And it's only a bit weird if you come home with a pair of these as a souvenir...

Weekend Recap: Viva Las Vegas

We had a fabulous time in Vegas doing it up! Casey and I can only handle so much of Vegas and our trips are very short. The first time we ever went I had free plane tickets, so we were broke college kids and decided to just fly in for night and forgo a hotel...wow. This weekend although quick as well, we still had lots of fun We ate, shopped, and laughed our way down the strip. I even attempted (thanks to blog inspirations like Andi) to do my makeup (yes, the last time I bought makeup was when Barbie collaborated with MAC and clearly I did not buy it for the makeup). I hope now, to do my makeup more often! Weekend getaways are the BEST!

Things I love: I'm Leaving (for) Las vegas

Hard to believe the last time Casey and I went to Vegas as three years ago, it sure doesn't feel that long. I looked through all my old pictures and I have barely any pictures (or I should say post-able pictures) from any of my Vegas trips. But then again most of my Vegas trips are so fast you could blink and miss me. This time around I am SO excited to see Daniel Tosh live!! Ahhh!!

Still amazed my last trip was from 3 years ago. We went for Casey's 26th birthday. I was rocking a juicy dress.

Tonight is Earth hour here is y blog post my last year about it. It's just one hour but it makes a HUGE difference!Although I will be in the city of lights this year and will miss out, I have participated in it the past two years and I will make sure to keep my hotel lights off and my house lights will be off as well.
And once again I am sure turn off the lights will be stuck in my head.
