Look of the Day: When in Karokee Bars

Living with Jen so far has been pretty fun so far. We celebrated the other night by hitting up a dive karaoke bar. And no one should ever give me free range on a microphone--especially when other people are around. My voice could be likened to someone who tried out for American Idol, but who not only didn't get the invite to Hollywood, they who can't comprehend why they weren't picked. Thankfully I am not surrounded by other tone death people who encourage my singing.

Our Karaoke night out kicked Jen's stay here off nicely. I now have a live-in biking partner and girly movie watching partner. Last night we watched When in Rome. Wow, Josh Duhmel sure is cute! Although I have no idea how Fergie managed to lock that up. Maybe because it's because she's so G-L-A-M-O-R-OUS...
I'm looking forward to many more bike rides and girly movie watching.

Look of the Day: Come and Knock On My Door, Take a Step That Is New

Well turns out we are having a house guest for a bit. Due to some unfortunate last minute circumstances, Jen had to move out of the place she was renting. Literally she found out last week and this week her stuff is at our house, while she looks for a new place. If she stays through October I don't think we can get away with not dressing up at Three's company for Halloween.

It's kind of fun to have a girl around the house. I haven't had a closet that I could comfortably steal out since I lived with my sister. So today I went into Jen's "closet" (for now it's a rack of clothes in our garage) and pulled out this top to wear. Thanks Jen! Love you!

Look of the Day: Donna Martin Graduates

There was a time when Wednesday nights ruled all. When a zip code was so much more then just a set of numbers. When a wordless theme song was music to my ears *clap* *clap*. And all I wanted to know was what was going on down at the Peach Pit.

Like many of you, I'm sure, yesterday's date was just an excuse to relive my love for Brandon, Steve, Brenda, Dylan and the rest of the gang. Conversations like: Remember when Dylan's wife died? YES! I balled through the whole episode ensued throughout the day.

You know I couldn't relive my love with out being a little festive. So I put on my best floral dress a la Donna Martin and Kelly Taylor. I almost asked my friend if I could borrow her convertible red BMW but that was pushing it just a little too much.
I hope your 9/02/10 was as great as mine!
Mink Pink dress, and Ash lotus wedges.
I think I would fit right in.
Better watch out Brenda...

Look of the day: Bust a Move

Sunday's are my favorite days to just chill and relax, this past Sunday I did my (new) regular routine. I hit up Target to check out their new Go Line of the week, and then I headed over to Trader Joe's to stock up for the week. Unfortunately the Zac Posen line was a bust for me, surprisingly, since I have been on a roll with the Target lines. Then I headed to my Moms for a bit and later I rode my bike down to park to hang out with my friend and her puppy. It was a great way to spend time in the amazing weather.
I rocked an old Torn Tank (a Copy Cat Lauren Conrad Purchase) and my Gap Patch & Repair Jean cutoffs (I highly recommend these shorts) and my Ash Lotus wedges.

I started out like this, but I got a little more casual as the day went on...Backyard time, my favorite time.
Park time with Buster Brown, isn't he a cutie? It was the perfect day to bust out this. It's only Monday but I am already counting down the days until next weekend.
I'll be back later with the Giveaway winner!

Look of the Day: Bambi's All Grown Up

I came home after a long day to package from Postcards + Love, it was my deer necklace from the giveaway at A Cup Of Joe. I was very excited and threw it on right away. Casey, on the other hand, thought it was weird. One of the nicknames Casey has for me is Bambi, so I told him it was Bambi all grown up, which turned into a debate as to whether or not Bambi was a Stag. Oh silly Casey, you don't know you Disney movies.

I have a serious collection of gold Etsy necklaces going. I have my bow necklace from Claire, my forever necklace from Dorothy and today I rocked my new Postcards and Love Deer necklace and my Sideways cross necklace from Daily Classics.
Amby all grown up...sort of...
My favorite Ash Lotus Wedges.
My Daily Classics Sideways Cross necklace and my Postcards + Love Deer necklace.

Yay for Friday! So excited to get all dressed up for a wedding this weekend, HUGE thank you for the detailed and specific eye shadows recs and application techniques.

Look of the Day: I think I'll go For a Walk Outside Now

I just can't stay inside all day
I gotta get out get me some of those rays
The weather has been GORGEOUS this week. Which I really needed after all my moping last week about the cold, wet weather. It was so nice out yesterday I was even able to take my sweater off for a bit to get some vitamin D on my pale arms. I really need to get a bit of color on my skin so I can really start rocking some fun spring clothes.
My Ash Lotus wedges are quickly becoming a favorite.
I took a cue from Mary Kate and piled on the bracelets.

Oh and yes, I love the Brady Bunch. Check out Marsha belting it out. I think Lauren Conrad might be stealing some of her looks.
*Runs to make a Nick at Night Style Icon post*

Look of the Day: New Kids on the Block

Yesterday I went over to spend the sunny evening with my old neighborhood friends, who happen to be back at their parents for the time being. We we spent the last hours of sunshine doing all our favorite things. We took a walk up to our old Elementary school and found our names in the brick walkway, we walked down to Seven Eleven so Mandy could get a Slurpee and as always V's parents hooked us up with a gourmet dinner. We get a little silly when we are all together and decided to give the neighbors a good laugh and had a beer sale on the same corner where we use to sell Ice Cold Lemonades. Well it gave us a good laugh at least.

How did I ever live without Grey wedges before?

Wearing my old Abercormbie cardigan, 18th Amendment Harlow jeans, Anthropolgie Necklace and my Ash Lotus Wedges.
We get REAL weird when we are all together. Next time we will have to resurrect our old Capture the Flag teams.

Things I Love: Travel Trinkets

"No, Chandler, you have to find the line between stealing and taking what the hotel owes you. Um, for example, hair dryer, no, no, no. Shampoos and conditioners, ah, yes, yes, yes. Now, the salt shaker is off limits, but the salt.... [pouring it into his hand]
...I wish I'd thought this through. "
I love weekend getaways but most of my weekend getaways are too close in location that buying a souvenir would be silly. But I still like to collect a keepsake from trips, so I have began to collect small keepsakes from my trips, like Matchsticks, hotel key cards and hotel pens. They are small reminders to me of fabulous weekends. I suppose I am only a step away from being a "Ross."
I store them in my mason jars or arandl=omly around my house to remind myself of fun times.
And it's only a bit weird if you come home with a pair of these as a souvenir...
Wendy made me do it!
Here's to another weekend getaway soon!

Purchase Review: Ash Lotus Wedges

Well I officially made my first spring purchase. After lusting after these for a few weeks and then posting about them last week I decided I needed these Ash Lotus wedges. I absolutely adored my Ash Olivia foldover boots so I decided to see if Ash could come through for me again in the spring. These were actually one of those shoes I was worried that would be uncomfortable and didn't want to get my hopes up, but when I tried them on they were surprising comfortable (you know when you try a shoe on and it hurts that it is a no go). I am very excited about this purchase and I really hope these pan out as nicely as my Ash boots did.
I love coming home to packages!! YAY!
I can't wait to rock these!

Well now that the spring seal is broken, bring on the shopping!
