DIY: Stunning With my Love Glue Gunning {Lady Gaga DIY Costume}

Last Halloween I made a last minute DIY Lady Gaga costume so this year I knew I had to do the same. Her outfits are out there and ridiculous it's hard for me not to want to attempt to make them. This costume cost under $15 to make and took only about a half hour to put together So if you're looking for something to wear to those parties tonight this is a quick and easy costume.
I for one will be wearing Giants gear tonight.

Necessary items for multiple Lady Gaga costumes:

Inspiration: Cigarette Glasses from the Telephone Video.

First turn on some Lady Gaga tunes to pump you up.

Materials needed:
Sunglasses (the flatter the better), Glue gun, 3 packs of fake cigarettes.

Start glue gunning.



Add a $10 Halloween Chain, Leggings and Tube Top.

And right now it's a steel knife in my wind pipe.

That lyric always gets to me. That song has been my anthem this summer. I may not have had a steel knife in my wind pipe, but I sure had one in my lung to kick off my summer. Plus my friend Vanessa told me anytime he says Kim it's just codeword for Amber--and I believe her.

Eminem and his emotion filled lyrics are something that always speak to me. Maybe it's his anger, or perhaps his honesty. Whatever it is it, I have always loved Eminem. And tonight I cheered him on at the VMA's rocking my 2002 Eminem concert tee.

He brought the house dee double you DOWN tonight. It was so good to see him in a good place again. And you know I rocked my Lady Gaga Halloween costume when I was cheering on Gaga. I'm totally a little monster!!

Things I love: Glee + Gaga

Well I thought that tonight's show was pretty cool, I only wished there was more Gaga/Glee jams. But Poker face was sweet and I loved the whole "embrace what makes you different" message of the show. Well it's also hard for me not love the episode since I am such a big Gaga and Glee fan. Oh and did you catch me as an extra? Well not really but my DIY Halloween costume would have fit right in.

In honor of the late and great Alexander McQueen I decided to share some pictures of my favorite ladies wearing his designs. Most recently I loved the dynamic relationship that Lady Gaga and him had. His designs perfectly reflected her artistic abilities in the form of extreme clothes and shoes. I think the Bad Romance video will be a bitter sweet remembrance of how the two artist inspired each other.
This muse and artist relationship was tragically cut too short...

And I promised not to post this again, but I had to today, so this will be the last time I post it, I promise! My DIY knockoff of Lady Gaga's outfit she wore when accepting her VMA designed by Alexander McQueen. Although my version does not the McQueen version justice.
Lady Gaga must have a huge whole in heart now... =(

Anyways for the fellow Lady Gaga fans out there, may I suggest that you checking out these DIY Lady Barbies? I am particularly fond of the lace covered face ensemble that was my inspiration for my Halloween costume. Barbie + Lady Gaga's awesomeness, does it get any better??

DIY: Last Minute Lady Gaga Costume

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I am not planning to dress up, nor do I have plans to, but that didn't stop me from making a costume this year. From what I gather Lady Gaga is the costume to be this year. But making a pantless leotard just didn't sound fun, instead I went with one of her wild MTV VMA's outfits for my under $10, less then a hour to make costume. Here it is in case you need a last minute costume idea for your Halloween parties. This project entertained me on Friday night for sure and I'm sure these pictures will entertain you as well. Gaga sure is wild!
This outfit was too weird I just had to recreate!






I am still laughing that I made this costume and posted it! LOL! Now all you need is a someone in leotard with booty shaking moves (Beyonce). A girl in a ball gown with a shocked look on her face (Taylor Swift). And a guy with sunglasses, a microphone and a sign on his shirt that reads "I'ma gonna let you finish". Then you'll have the whole 2009 VMA crowd! Have a fun and safe Halloween!
