Things I love: Out For The Count

It's the night before I leave and I am still packing, and putting together the loose ends. I'm just hoping I can sleep tonight! Tomorrow morning I'm off for our trip to Europe, and much like or trip to Beijing last year, we will be rolling with a similar crew of hooligans. Strangely enough this time all of our partners of crime were Casey's groomsmen. Casey has known them all for years, but they have also become some of my best friends as well. I'll be the only chick on board but I'm not too worried, I think I'll find plenty of time to hit up the shops. We are begin our trip by landing in Frankfurt to meet up with Cyrus' brother who lives there. After a few days there we plan to drive to Prague (my mother land), then onto Austria and we will then complete our trip in Venice. I'll be blogging as much as I can over there!
Our Crew of Gypsy's last year:

Style Icon: Thank You, Thank You Very Much

I am a huge Elvis fan, if you ever go karaoking with me you better watch out, because I will be belting out some (very out of tune) Elvis. Not only is his music some of my favorite but he was handsome and stylish as well, and one of my all time favorites.

And Johnny And I rocking some Elvis karaoke in Beijing last year. We are serious about Elvis for sure. I'm sure Casey was hiding in shame during this rock out session.
I also wanted to say thank you to all my readers, new and old. Your comments and support is amazing, you all make me smile everyday. And for that, I thank you...very much. I only hope things like hosting giveaways, let you all know how much that means to me!

Things I Love: Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Yesterday was the perfect weather for a day at the Ball park and the game was really good as well! It lasted 13 innings before the Giants won, WOooHooo! We had blast eating ball park fare and hooting and hollering it up for our team. Here are some of pictures from the day.

Things I Love: B A S E B A L L

Back when my parents got divorced and my Dad moved out, my mom, sister and I went a whole year without watching any sporting events. A far cry from a family that previously grew up watching Joe Montanna, Micheal Jordan and Steve Young. It was around that time that my local paper was filled with buzz about Sammy Sosa and Mike McGuire in their home run race and I slowly began tuning in. The buzz in the paper surrounding the new Giants stadium was enough to keep me reading the sports page. That opening day was my first of many. I slowly began watching the Box Scores, checking the paper every morning and turning off the music in my car and tuning into sports radio. By the end of that Season I was hooked and I still am. Every year since then I long for nights when I can turn on Giants game and scream my little head off that my boys of summer need to "DO SOMETHING!".

When I go to games I can't help but go all out. I could not go to a baseball game not all decked out in my Giants gear. Here are so of my looks from previous games I have attended.

A peak at the Giants gear that I have collected over the years.

My Panda hat, and I still believe I was the first person to wear a Panda Hat to a giants game. Check out my post on it here.
Casey and I gearing up for a game back in 2003. The good old years!
And me before a game last year, wearing almost an identical outfit
A tube top I made to wear to games back in 2002. And let's be honest here, I am being very generous when I refer to this as a top.
Me rocking the tube top and devil ears. Why devil ears, you ask? Hmm...not sure, I just thought it was cool idea. I wore them that whole season. Now that trend didn't catch on, but Johnny and I do look back and laugh at my weirdness.
Today I am off to the Home opening day today to celebrate Casey's Birthday. LET'S GO GIANTS!!!

Waiting on Wednesday

I am a terrible baker. I just don't have the patience or talent for it. Casey's My friend Johnny once told me that I make the ugliest cakes, this coming from the guy that told my Mom she was the Isaac Newton of dessert making. Well of course the only time of year (besides Casey's birthday) I need to bake, my pretty much brand new oven breaks. So I am sitting here waiting on the repair man. You know that whole "I'll come between 8 o'clock and 2 o'clock deal"?? Well I decided to do some repairs of my own on a Robert Rodriquez dress with missing buttons. Good thing I keep a button box full of all my tags with buttons and matching thread, I was easily able to pull out the correct buttons an quickly fix my dress, no 8-2 window necessary. Seriously who gets the repair man at the 8 o'clock time slot? I always get the 2 o'clock one!

My broken oven. We got this thing in August, of course it blows up on me now when I need to bake cookies for my new neighbors and my lovely UPS man who brings me Neiman's and ShopBop packages.
What do you get your UPS man (or women)? We are debating what to get him besides cookies, since he comes so often.
Extra Button box. Of course a Martha Idea, I have also seen her use a binder. How do you organize your extra buttons? Or do you toss yours?
Yay for saving buttons!
My poor dress that needed to be fixed.
Here's to hoping the repair man gets here soon! I am debating between a yoga video, wrapping presents or catching up online. Well with a 8:oo-2:00 window I may fit them all in!

Look of the Day: The Plant - Partie Deux

Yesterday I headed out to San Francisco to celebrate my friend Johnny's birthday and to grab a healthy dinner with fellow blogger's Lindsey and Jenna. Jenna was working the Green Festival in San Fran and brought us samples of Amazing Grass, which I can't wait to try! Thanks Jenna!
Thank goodness I met up with the girls to eat because my only other option for food last night would have been a greasy birthday "cake" pizza. The girls and I dined at The Plant and once again it was amazing. There were so many amazing options on the menu I had a hard deciding what to order. While deciding we were given a sample of the soup of the day, a black bean soup which was so good but I knew I needed to eat more food than that. So I ordered the California Plant burger, which many of the bloggers ordered on Monday night. It did not disappoint, it was pretty much the best veggie burger I had ever had. It missed the camera's eye but it was almost creepy how much it looked like a rare hamburger, check out Jenna's blog for pictures of her burger. After dinner we checked out the most adorable candy shop, I only wished I liked candy because the store was darling. I couldn't help but snap pictures of it, not to mention ohh and ahhing over all the adorable displays. After I said good bye to the bloggers, I met up with my crew of friends who were finally assembling down in North Beach, which is where we spent the rest of night celebrating Johnny's birthday.

My look of the day. Urban dress, Joie Jacket and necklace made by moi.

Amazing grass samples from Jenna. I have been reading about these for months and can't wait to finally test them out!Pictures inside Miette the adorable candy store.

The birthday "cake" pizza I was happy NOT to call my dinner.
Staint Peter and Paul's church. So stunning to see at night.
