Flowers of the Week: Botany of Desire

I am almost ready to reveal the new additions to my girly room. But for now, here is a small glimpse inside my room and a view at the lovelies that are brightening up my week. I cherish this short time I have with tulips, it seems to pass so quickly. If you also love tulips, I highly recommend checking out the Micheal Pollen's book and or documentary 'The Botany of Desire'. In it Pollan explains how humans desires and wants transformed and 'made' plants as we know them now.
Tulips really should be treasured for their beauty and timeliness.

  3. I love tulips. They have to be my favorite flowers. They are just too cool. If you put a penny in the water they will stand up straight.

The mason jar makes a really nice vase.
