Things I Love: Get Well, Get Well Soon

My friends and family could not be taking better care of me this week as I recover from my tonsillectomy. Big shout out to my mom and Casey for dropping everything and taking time off to take care of me. I am doing really well but my friends and family have gone above and beyond to make sure I have everything I could possibly need or want. I think they are just hoping this is last time (for awhile) that they will send me get well cards.

Casey's mom made me an amazing vegetable stock to sip on. And I'm so thankful for it, all the applesauce, popsicles and serbert were getting to be too sweet for me. Sheila even brought me vintage Amber bowls to sip it out of. I don't think I could have asked for a sweeter Mother- in-Law, she just loves to spoil me. Although she made sure not to leave Casey out, she brought him cupcakes and his favorite pasta dish.
Thank you Sheila!!

My Dad delivered an amazing care package put together by my Step-Mom Rena. Rena thoughtfully picked out news paper clippings and magazines for me to read while I recover. She also sent over an amazing book about Edith Head, a 50's Hollywood costume designer who styled many of my favorite movies.

Rena even went ahead and bookmarked pages she thought I would find particularly interesting.

And my dear friend Lei, who just recently moved to America from China, brought me over the sweetest card, and a gorgeous bouquet. She also spent the day making pot stickers for Casey so he would have a nice dinner tonight.
I am so lucky to have so many amazing people in my life.

And thank you to all of you for all your Tweets, emails, texts, and comments.
I almost feel guilty for all the love I am receiving.IMG_6000
Since I am receiving so much love, I am paying that love forward, and donating to the Red Cross. If you haven't already make sure to text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific.
