I tend to "collect" dresses, rather then purchase new ones for events. When I see a dress I love, I buy it (like the story behind GORGEOUS Haute Hippe dress that I wore to the last wedding I attended). So today I went into my dress closet to figure out what I should wear, and I'd love to hear your opinion!
Dress #1 Laila Azhar pleated Strapless Dress
I purchased this dress over a year ago after seeing it on Vanessa Minillo. It has been patiently waiting for an event to be worn to. Normally I would not wear this to a wedding but this is Jen's favorite dress and it's her pick for what I should wear.

Dress #2:
Robert Rodriguez Yellow Button Front Bubble Dress
I purchased this dress after seeing it on Lauren Conrad. I love this dress and it hasn't gotten much wear in public, or in pictures (Facebook and the blog) I have only worn it with Casey on date nights. I love this dress BUT I lent it to the bride about a year ago to wear to a wedding and I feel like some people might remember it. I love it none the less.

On Lauren:I purchased this dress before LC had her Kohls line. I like this dress but it always seems to get passed up by something else and Jen is worried that it's not fancy enough.

Dress #4 Alice & Olivia Striped Print Kimono Tunic
I recently purchased this dress after seeing it on the bachlorette Ali Fedotowsky and then my size popped up randomly on sale at Shopbop.com.
On Ali...I hope her and Roberto get a reality show, I heart her!

It depends what venue the wedding is taking place at.... I feel like the last two dresses flatter your figure more so than the first two. So I vote dress three for outdoor and dress four for indoors.

I can't get the poll to work on my phone. They are all gorgeous but here is my ranking 1,3,2,4. I love them all but #1 really jumps out at me!

ReplyDeleteYou have such great dresses! I would vote #1, especially if the venue is a bit more formal and indoors. However if the wedding is outdoors, I like #2 because it would probably be more comfortable in the heat. I vote #3 as a backup outdoor venue dress. I ADORE #4 and you look fabulous in it but it's sassy for a wedding.
ReplyDeleteI love all of them, however for a wedding I always feel the motto dress up more than you think! No bride wants to see someone under dressed! I think either 1 or 3 - 3 just needs the right accessories!
