Lately when I have been getting dressed I have been having fun playing around with pattern mixing. This skirt is one that I have found works well with other patterns. Last time I wore it, I mixed it with a cheetah print top. Looking back on the pictures I wish added a belt like Lauren Conrad did when she wore this urban outfitters skirt.
When pattern mixing I look for colors that compliment each other first, and patterns that work well together. I also look to things like Flags {stars and stripes} to inspire me. While these aren't actually stars on my skirt it seemed to have the same sort of feel to me.
I still love/want that skirt.
