Look of the Day: Mrs Peacock with the Candlestick in the Conservatory

As fun as Clue is, isn't it kind of a creepy game!?? One thing I really like about blogging about my outfits almost daily, is that it forces me to be creative. Not that I wasn't creative before, but knowing I am going to spend my time taking pictures and posting them online inspires my thought process. Today's outfit is one that I call an "inventive outfit", meaning that I use a piece from my closet in a way I had not originally planned to use it as. I bought this Free People purple peacock dress back in the summer and I loved rocking it in the summer heat, but I never really thought of it as any beyond a summer dress. I do really love the details on it so I wanted to come up with a way to wear it in the winter as well. My idea was to make this not so basic dress more versatile, not just a one wear dress. So today I paired it with tights and long sleeves to make transform it into winter wear.
I LOVE peacocks!

All together now.
And if you were wondering how I braved the rain in that outfit....Well I was a little over ambitious. Once I walked out the door I realized I needed to quickly to modify the outfit a bit. Pennie says hi!

  2. Oh, and I am so happy you have that dress. Because I wanted that dress *so badly*, but couldn't figure out how to wear it, so. It makes me happy to see someone else I like rockin' it, and rockin' it well! I really like it with the tights and turtleneck!

Blogging has definitely made me more aware of what I'm doing if I'm going to be posting pictures or talking about it. I like that.

  17. I love this, you look fantastic! I'm actually just tried this out myself and I'm putting a tank over a long sleeve shirt tomorrow, you inspired me! (And its perfect cause its one of my favorite tanks, but I couldn't wear it to school cause middle schoolers and cleavage don't mix - but problem solved!)
